So Shelli Creative Challenge - Sale-a-Bration

For Stamp Club this month, one of my guests is a guy so I wanted to come up with a few generic cards that are not so girly. I also wanted to use more of our red glimmer paper. Because I used the Punch Bunch set that you can get for free during Sale-a-Bration, I am entering it into the So Shelli Creative Challenge for February! Even though it still has bling, I think it is a great card for anyone. What do you think?

Happy I Do

Hello Crafters!

My good friend Xochitl got married about a month ago and I wanted to share the card I made for her and her new husband Khalil. The wedding was beautiful and she looked gorgeous of course. I made this card for her in the colors of the wedding using the wonderful Word Play set. The set is versatile because it has sayings for all kinds of events and celebrations.

I also used our wonderful Elegant Lines Embossing folder on Shimmery White cardstock, some of our Organza ribbon and Basic Rhinestones for added bling! The inside was stamped with the flower motif from the Elements of Style set.

Fall Holiday Mini Swaps

Hello Crafters,

More Holiday Mini swaps. These are wonderful fall cards using new sets from the Holiday Mini.

This first on designed by Molly Hill shows the leaves from the French Foliage set set in fall colors of Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and More Mustard. I really like the leaf on top of the text. She also used Perfect Punches for the sentiment.

A different use of French Foliage, this time by Heather Savageaux. This card shows our wonderful new Deck the Halls DSP and ribbon in Daffodil Delight. The sentiment is from Seasonal Sentiments.

The picture for this last one does not do it justice. Designed by Anna Zuniga, this card shows the fabulous Day of Gratitude set with coordinating Autumn Spice DSP. What the picture does not show is the fabulous sheen that was added to the card with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch.

New Catalog Samples

Happy New Catalog Crafters!

Sorry about being MIA. So little time so much to stamp! Anyway just wanted to share some new catalog samples. These are cards that I received as part of a new catalog swap with demonstrators from across the country.

New Level 1 Hostess Set - Because I Care

This wonderful card was designed by Vonnie Riele. The paper and ribbon are one of the new colors Marina Mist. Isn't it lovely?

This elegant card was designed by Jill Nolan. The talented Jill colored the flower with Baja Breeze, Marina Mist, Pear Pizzaz and Crumb Cake markers. She also used our Big Shot textured embossing folder, Vintage Wallpaper, accented with Basic Black Ink. Just georgeous!

New Stamp Set - Artistic Etchings

This was my swap contibution. I used Riding Hood Red with Very Vanilla and Basic Black. I created the medallion using our new large scallop circle punch on which I layered Newsprint DSP that was accordian folded to make a circle and edged with black chunky glitter.

This last card was designed by Barbara Dykhouse. The ribbon is our new 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Basic Black. The French Script Background stamp goes perfectly with the Eiffel Tower stamp from the set!

Sorry that I have been gone. January was a blur and Feb was not much better. I did get a chance to craft with friends at my monthly stamp club. We had a great time. Here are the projects that we made at the Febuary meeting. Sharon Fletcher, the hostess with the mostest of the month, requested projects with heat embossing because it is one of her favorite techniques.

Stamp Club Valentine Projects

Hello Crafters,

I wanted to share the valentine projects that members of my Stamp Club got to make this month.

For this first one we used the new heart treat cups and filled them with punched out hearts from the 3 heart punch and added some of SU's chunky glitter. I kept the color palette simple with Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. We used the Sweetheart and Well Scripted stamp sets from the Occasions Mini. We also used the new Scallop Trim Border punch (which you can get for free during Sale-a-Bration) and Melon Mambo polka dot ribbon for accents.

This next one is also simple. We cut out the large flower that is already glittered from one of the sheets in the Sending Love Specialty DSP and layered it onto more glittered DSP from the set. We stamped the sentiment from the With All my Heart stamp set and punched it out with the Modern Label punch. The accents for this card were made with the new Pinking Hearts border punch and Pretty in Pink satin ribbon. Love that Sending Love Specialty DSP.

This last card was my favorite because it was demonstrated at Leadership earlier this month and I had to show the members how to make one. For this card I used the I Love Love jumbo wheel and our new Scalloped Heart Embosslit Die, Satin Ribbon in Real Red and cardstock in Kraft, Very Vanilla, Real Red, and Basic Black. Basically this is a folded up heart card that fits into our medium envelope. This is the finished and folded up view of the card. The heart is on a belly band.

After removing the belly band and unfolding the top and bottom it looks like this:

You then unfold the sides to reveal the card inside to which we added satin ribbon and a Epoxy Heart Brad in the corner.

To make this card you must start out with a 12x12 sheet of paper folded in half and free cut a heart like we used to in grammer school. You then score the paper such that your 4-1/4 by 5-1/2 card fits right in the middle. Fold in the sides first and then the bottom and top. Decorate as desired.

I will definitely be making more of these large heart valentines for my friends and family because they are easy to make and fun to decorate!

Valentine Swaps

Hello Crafters!

Trying to get back into the swing of things and I wanted to share some valentine swaps that I received from Leadership in Phoenix. I apologize for not having the names of the creators. I will add them later.

I like this first one for its simplicity. The Perfect Polka Dot Texturze folder goes great with the polka dot heart in the I Heart Hearts set.

This next one also uses the polka dots texture and our hearts punched form our fabulous Sending Love Specialty DSP.

This next one is too cute for words with the girls bear from Build a Bear and the vaelntine accessories from the Beary Lovely Sizzlet. Her skirt and shoes was also made tom the Sending Love DSP. You can't tell frpm the picture but she has glitter on her sleeves and skirt.

This last one I recevied from an earlier swap. This is the robot from the Lots of Bots set. He ahs a heart on the front. It is so sweet and reminds me of Wall-e.

2010 Ocassions Mini Sneak Peak

Hello Crafty Friends,

I apologize for my long absence. After my parents' party in November and Thanksgiving, December just got away from me. I was sick for a bit and general sad feelings arose at work after we found out some of our friends were to be laid off. I am OK at the moment and I am looking forward to the new year. I have many blessings to be thankful for....My family, friends, I have a good job that I love that enables me to enjoy my dogs, traveling and crafting. So here's to hoping that everyone had a nice Holiday Season and that 2010 brings you much joy and happiness!

One of the first things that I am looking forward to in January is Stampin Up's Leadership gathering in Phoenix. Since I did not get to go to convention this year I decided to go to Leadership and get my creative juices flowing again. To coincide with this event the 2010 Occasions Mini catalog will begin on Jan 5th. I got to order a few items ahead of the release of the catalog and I decided to participate in a Occasion card swap organized by Becky Tuesink, a talented demo from Michigan. I chose to swap with Chocolate Bunny. I sent out my swaps last week and I am expecting my new set of Occasion swaps sometime this week. To give you a taste of what is to come, I would like to share my swap with you. Here it is......

50th Anniversary Favor Boxes

Hello Crafters,

My parent's party is this Saturday and family has flown in from all over, even Spain! As I head into the home stretch for this wonderful celebration, I wanted to share the favor boxes we made for the party. We had a favor making party and completed them in no time. So here they are:

I used the Big Shot and the Fancy Favor Box die to make the box with brushed gold cardstock to match the invitations. The lily infront is from the 5th Avenue set and was stamped with gold ink and embossed with gold powder on Very Vanilla. The votive on the left was decorated with the the scallop and small oval punches. The gold ribbon is non SU. We made over 100 of these. I think they turned out nice.

Hello Again,

I just wanted to quickly post a few more projects that you can make at my upcoming events.

The first project is a Build-a-Bear Christmas gift bag designed by my good friend Jeanne Chaffin. Isn't it adorable! We will be making this bag this Saturday at the Livermore Stamp Camp and again at my Holiday Gifts Extravaganza class on Dec 6th.

The second project is a card made with our new Ornament Punch and the beautiful flocked paper from our Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP. I did case this one but I cannot remember to whom to give proper credit.

My parents anniversary party is less that 3 weeks away! So before I disappear again into hectic party mode, I thought I would post a few items I have been working on for my upcoming classes and events.

Last but not least this is another Petals-A-Plenty project that I used with the 5 Point 3-D Star die. I still need to add a few touches but I wanted to show you how great the textured Impressions folder works with the Star die. I am thinking of making a few of these and hanging them around the house for Christmas. Again these are really easy to make.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Hello Crafters!

Sorry about being MIA for the last couple of weeks. Planning my parent's 50th wedding anniversary party has taken up all of my free time! My Mom is having a ball getting to pick out her dress, her cake, the food for the reception, all her church music, our dresses, and all the numerous details that go along with planning a small wedding. She did not get to do this with her first wedding so she is thoroughly enjoying this. Her favorite part has been when her sisters offer advice or suggestions on what to wear, do or use (and they do this alot!) she tells them to check with me instead of really telling them that she does not like what they are suggesting. This cracks me up because they tend not to mess with me and it keeps the peace.

Anyway, I wanted to share with you the final invitation that we just sent out. It came out lovely and uses almost all Stampin Up items. Here it is......

Front:
I used SU Brushed Gold CS as the base and the front band. This is wonderful and elegant cardstock! I will be using this gold for the favors as well. Be sure to check back later in the month to see the final favors. The white area is Very Vanilla. I stamped and embossed their initials with the elegant Lovely Letters Alphabet that I got for free as a reward from this year's Sale-a-Bration sale. The red cardstock was embossed using my Big Shot and the SU Background #1 Texturze Plates. The plates are a great deal at $9.95 for 6 textures!

Inside: Again I used Very Vanilla and I stamped and embossed the swirl from Baroque Motifs that goes so well with the texture on the front.

Non SU items: I used red cardstock and ink from another company because I had to match the red from our dresses. It is nice to know that our SU items still work well with cardstock and ink from other companies. I did the gold edging with a gold ink calligraphy pen and a ruler.

Anyway, with my sister's help, most of last weekend and evenings this past week, we made 80 of these invites. Whew! They were just mailed out on Friday. So the party is officially on and their is no turning back now! ;)

Quick Saturday Layout Post

Hello Crafters,

Well posting has been difficult. I am in the middle of planning my parent's 50th wedding anniversary party in November. They will be renewing their vows so it will be just like a small wedding. Lot's of work still left to do. I know in the end it will be lovely and I am looking forward to it!

Anyway, I wanted to share some layouts I made at the crop event I went to over Labor Day weekend. They are of my family Paris trip last year. I tried to use mostly SU only but I had to add a few items from my huge stash.

I used the wonderful Nouveau Chic DSP that goes so well with the Art Deco style of the Paris Metro signs. I also used some retired ribbon and Hodgepodge Hardware. Here they are:

For this next one I wanted to show you how I used the Lattice Die for the Big Shot to embellish my page showing the Eiffel Tower. I used the die to cut the lattice out of transparencies to mimic the iron works of the tower. I am happy the way it turned out. Here it is:

Fall Livermore Stamp Camp Samples - Second Post of the Day

Hello Crafters,

Sorry about the irregular posts. August got away from me and this weekend I finally got a chance to scrap and create to my hearts content! A group of friends and I attended Scraptacular Getaways in Concord Calif. It was blast to catch up with my scrappin buddies...Sharon, Daniele, Nancy and Anna, have fun, and scrap all day and all night or until we could not stay awake any longer that is. The weekend was a great price that included a crop for 3 days with hotel at a very reasonable price. The event is run by the fabulous Ginamarie Cornelius and her lovely daughters and posse. It was well organized...lots of space to crop, shopping with on site vendors, snacks and coffee all the time, fun games and chances to win prizes! A fun time was had by all. Before I get back into the swing of things I wanted to share with you three projects that you can make at my upcoming Livermore Stamp Camp on Saturday September 12 from 2-4:30. New Holiday Mini Cards

Hello Crafters!

I was away this weekend at getaway crop with my friend Sharon in Concord. It was my first ever all weekend crop. I had meant to post Holiday Mini samples before I left but the time got away from me. I participated in a card swap so I received these cards from a wonderful group of demonstators from across the country using new items from the Holiday Mini. Here are a few of these great cards!

By Rebecca Williams this card uses the Autumn Splendor and Holiday Best stamp sets and Autumn Traditions DSP. Great fall colors! Notice the how the scallop is hightlighted with sponged ink.

These mini cards use the Cold and Cuddly set. I love the walrus with his cup of cocoa and the chubby penguin with his heart! Notice glitter on the Walrus's ice and the pearl on his hat. Sorry that I do not have swapper info for these to give proper credit.

By another unknown swapper this card uses the Serene Snowflakes stamp set with Melon Mambo and Bermuday Bay in-colors. I like the non-traditional look of the color combo for a holiday card.

By Jill Nolan this wonderful card also uses Serene Snowflakes and our new Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP. I love how the filagree and rhinestone brad looks with this card. Simple and elegant! You gotta see this card in person.

By Barbara Dykhouse this lovely card uses the Delightful Decorations set for the ornament and a pine tree from Lovely as a Tree for the look of up close tree branches. Clever!! The ornament was punched out with our new ornament punch and glitter was added for some bling. Notice the use of Christmas Cocoa DSP with Soft suede and Real Red cardstock.

Halloween Swap Card from Holiday Mini

Hello Crafters!

Sorry about the long time in between posts. August has been rather crazy and I have not had much time to create. September should be much better.

I did want to share with you a card that I just created using new items from the new Holiday Mini. So this is a sneak peek. I participated in a swap with demonstrators from across the country and this is what I came up with....

I used the Twick or Tweet set. Isn't it funny? This card combines three things I enjoy...Halloween, humor and dogs! I also used the new Haunting Hill wheel also from the new Holiday Mini. Items from the new Mini will be available starting on September 1st! Yay!!!

Evolution of a Swap

Hello Crafters!

Sorry that I have not posted for a while. With work and summer events there hasn't been much time for me to create. I decided to show you my swap card for Stampin Up's Annual Convention in Salt Lake City. I decide not to go this year to be frugal so my friends and stamping sisters will be taking a batch of my creations to swap for me at Convention. The catch is that since I just decided to do this I had to get all my swaps done yesterday. So this was my crazy process......

I just had to use on of my favorite new stamps...Medallion with French Script perhaps. You know when you get something in your head you must make it so. That is what I did. In our monthly magazine for SU Demos they had a invitation using Medallion, Elegant Eggplant CS and glitter so I tried to copy it. Needless to say my first attempts were a disaster and I am not going to show them to you. I couldn't figure out how to apply thin and precise lines of glitter. So I changed my plan.

Since Medallion is such a bold BG stamp I wanted to use the Emerging Colors Technique only my version with Emerging Text if you will. What I basically did is stamp the French Script BG on Whisper White. Then stamped the Medallion in Versamark and clear embossed. Then brayered with a dark ink like Elegant Eggplant. So this was card No 1.....

The picture does not do this justice. Anyway it seemed like it needed a little color so I tried again this time with some So Saffron worked in and I added the thanks from the Thank You Kindly mounted on die cuts from the Matchbook Die. I also changed the placement of the Medallion. Card No. 2.....

Then I thought I really should be using in colors so I switched to Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede. Card No. 3.........

I was quite happy with this one and then I started calculating how much time it would take to make 40 swaps. Since I only had a day to make them I had to simplify and not do the technique. So in the end my swap ended up as just plain stamping on Very Vanilla CS and some ribbon of course. Final Swap.....

Not bad and they are all done! So off To Salt Lake City they will go. Can't wait to see what I get back!

Blog Challenges and My Hostess Appreciation Lunch - continued

My second group blog challenge was just announced and I just happen to have a card that fits the bill. The challenge was to make a simple card with mostly stamping in under 15 minutes. This is a card that I cased from Brenda Keenan that we made at my Hostess Appreciation Lunch yesterday. Every year I treat my hostesses to lunch, a few craft projects and a brand new catalog. Blog Challenges and My Hostess Appreciation Lunch

Happy Sunday Crafters!

My Blogger's Group is doing a weekly challenge and right now I am behind. So the next two cards I am posting are for the first and second challenges.

For the first challenge we were supposed to case a card out of the new catalog. I chose the Embrace Life card on page 104. I chose this because I do not usually tear so this is out of my comfort zone. What is interesting about this card is the ink used on the flowers. They were colored with Melon Mambo and highlighted with Ruby Red. That is what the SU supply list said for this card. I was skeptical but it does add a subtle highlight. I also used my Friends 24-7 for the background on the Kraft paper. I do not have Bella Toile. Why don't I have Bella Toile?!? I think Melon Mambo with Black is stunning. I will be using this combo again. Anyway here is the card and recipe:

Goodbye Doodle This and Wild About You

Hello Crafters,

This past Sunday I had "Last Chance Party" where guests made cards using two of my favorite stamp sets that will no longer be available after June 30th. We had a wonderful afternoon of stamping, visiting and munching on strawberries despite the heat.

Finally! a Sneak Peak

Hi Crafty Friends,

It sure has been a crazy week for me since my pup Sabrina had knee surgery. While she is healing nicely, it has been hard keeping her still. Dogs are amazing and they just adapt. Sabrina is a determined girl and often cannot sit still or must be the center of attention. Kinda like her Mom. ;)

Anyway I finally got a chance to stamp with my new stamps and goodies from the new Fall/Winter Idea Book and Catalog that will be officially released on Wed July 1st. Yay!!

I participated in a preview swap for SU Demonstrators so here is what I came up with.....

Aren't these colors yummy? So I used the Razzle Dazzle set with my new In Color Markers (Yes! You heard me In Color Markers!!) to color the flower with Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede. The card stock base is Soft Suede with embossed swirls created with the Big Shot texturz plates. The image is mounted on a scallop circle made with the Big Shot Scallop Circles #2. For finishing touches I added polka dot grosgrain ribbon in Rich Razzleberry and glitter to the flowers! I can't wait to get my swaps back to see what the other Demos did!!

Well that is all for now. I am getting ready for my Last Chance Party this weekend and creating an ATC with the Animal Stories set. So check back later this weekend for more of my creations!

Let's Hear it for the Boys

Hello Crafters,

Sorry I haven't posted for while. My sweet girl Sabrina tore a ligament and went lame after her walk last Wednesday and she had knee surgery yesterday. So needless to say it has been pretty hard these last couple of days knowing that she was in pain and not her normal rambunctious self. She is a a typical labrador that is usually very active. The next few days and weeks is all about her and helping her recover.

So for now I only have a few cards to show you that we made at my "Let's Hear it for the Boys" class this past Sunday. So here they are.....

For this first card I folded the shirt in Walk in the Park DSP from the Occassions Mini Catalog and the sentiment is from the Smarty Pants stamp set. The base is chocolate chip cardstock that has been embossed with the Texturz Plates Stampin Up Background for the Big shot.

This card uses the Jackpot DSP and the Game Night stamp set with Basic Black, Whisper White and Real Red cardstock. This card was fun and easy to make because everything coordinates so beautifully. The knight was embossed with black embossing powder, the corners punched with the ticket corner punch and the poker chips were punched out from the Jackpot DSP with the 1/2" circle punch. This last card uses the Sense of Time set from the Occassions Mini. I stamped the gears with Not Quite Navy on the same color paper. The clock and sentiment is inked first with Baja Breeze and then with a Not Quite Navy marker or pad for the accent. They were then mounted on Basic Grey and Kiwi Kiss cardstock, respectively. The border on the left was made with Urban Garden DSP and Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon. Last but not least I added a circle plate form our Hodgepodege Hardware on the seconds clock.

We did not make this last card at the class but I have been dying to make this flower pot card that I cased exactly from Andrea Walford again. I wanted to use the retiring In Colors and this was a perfect project for that. The stamp set if Petal Pizzaz and is not retiring but the Sweet Slumber DSP and the inks, with the exception of So Saffron are retiring. The ribbon is from the Valet Ribbon Originals. The Baja Breeze corduroy buttons are retiring and the Button Bouquet has already sold out so my advice is that if you want items that use any of the the retiring In Colors such as Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Real, Pink Pirouette and Pacific Point, be sure to order it asap because all that stuff will only be available while supplies last.

So I hope you have enoyed thses projects. I will post again when I can during my pooch's recovery.

A Few Cards for June Events

This first card my "Let's Hear it for the Boy's" Class on Sunday June 14th. Just in time for Father's Day this card uses the Totally Tools Stamp set with To the Nines Specialty DSP on Sahara Sand cardstock and Chocolate Chip corduroy brads.

This next card will be made by those attending the Livermore Stamp Camp on June 20th. This card uses several retiring items....Doodle This stamp set and Doodle Wheel, Hugs and Wishes stamp set, Pacific Point ink, cardstock and corduroy brad, Baja Breeze ink and corduroy brad. The card is finished with a flower from the Pretties Kit and our white Organza ribbon.

This last card I cased from the Stampin Up magazine that demonstrators get every month. I used the Fifth Avenue Floral and Thank You Kindly set and the following retiring items: Baja Breeze textured cardstock and ink, Kiwi Kiss ink, Valet Ribbon Originals and a Kiwi Kiss corduroy brad.

Hello Crafters!

Just a quick post today. So much is going on...

Last Chance list is out. I will post it shortly. I am planning for my events this month and next so I am busy creating right now so come back later for new creations. Plus my Weekend Away Special had a few glitches so I will be repeating it for all June orders. More on that later as well.

For now I just wanted to share a card I made using the Just Buzzin By set that I cased exactly from Andrea Walford. She has a great website! I get lot's of inspiration from her and her sister Sophia. Check it out . Here is the card....

The beehive and little bee is stamped on watercolor paper with Stazon and then watercolored with ink and blender pens. The card is bit time consuming but great when completed. I will post more projects as soon as I complete them!

May 2009 ATC

Just a quick post before I run off to work. This is my May ATC for Ivette Carrillo's ATC Club. The theme for this month was Peace, Wisdom and Serenity. I am happy with how it turned out.

For this ATC I stamped the French Script Background in Ballet Blue Craft ink and then clear embossed it. For the flower I used the Stampin Up Simple Flower Embosslit in Ballet Blue and for the leaves I used Stampin Up Little Leaves Sizzlet in Old Olive. The Embosslit and Sizzlet Both are Stampin Up Exclusives for the Big Shot! To finish it off I added a pearl from the Pretties Kit, sponged the edges in Old Olive and mounted it all Ballet Blue that was embossed with Stampin Up's Background 1 Texturez Plates. Another Stampin Up Exclusive for the Big Shot!

Cute Guy Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

I started off this 3-day weekend by getting together with my friends to crop at Jazzy Crafts in Castro Valley. Great store and the owner Jasmine is wonderful! Check it out if you are ever nearby. So with the creative juices flowing, I decided to create one of the cards for my "Let's Hear it for the Boys" class in June so here it is:
I used the very cute Hit the Road set with some Urban Garden DSP. Every time I pull this set out it makes me smile. I just love the dog! I distressed the edges with the Cutter Kit and framed the sentiment from Celebrate Everything with some Hodgepodge Hardware. I even added silver brads to the headlights to match the hardware.

This was a fun and easy card to make. I got the idea from page 25 of the 2009 Spring/Summer Catalog. It really is a good source for ideas and inspiration!

Hello Crafters!

To give you some ideas, here are two cards using DSP and Heat and Stick powder:

For the card on the left I applied heat and stick powder to the chip board frame with old olive craft ink. Then I melted the powder with my heat tool to make it tacky and then generously sprinkled it with our fine cosmo glitter. The cute bee is from the Just Buzzin By set. I added glitter to the wings too! I also used Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Pacific Point cardstock and double striped grosgrain ribbon in Pacific Point. I used the Scallop Edge punch for the border.

For the card on the right I used the Big Shot with the Top Note Die and the Little Leaves Sizzlet. Both are exclusive to Stampin Up! The paper is from Rasberry Tart DSP with Kiwi Kiss and Pink Pirouette cardstock. The flower is from the Pretties Kit and the sentiment is from the Heard from the Heart stamp set. For some bling, I adhered our fine cosmo glitter to a Jumbo Brad by first applying versamark ink and then heat and stick powder to the brad. Again I heat activated the powder and applied the glitter. Voila!! An easy way to dress up your brads with glitter!!!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day everyone! Before the days festivities begin with my wonderful Mom and the family I would like to share a few more creations of mine. Here they are...

I made this card for a group swap for embossing. On the background I used Baja Breeze ink and paper with the En Francais background stamp. Over that I used our new Kind Thoughts Flourish stencil from our Decor Elements with Chocolate Chip Craft ink and clear embossing powder. The Cherish is from the Baroque Motifs set.

So we got a charm bracelet for my Mom for her Mother's Day gift and this is the box I will be putting it in. I used the following Big Shot dies for this very cute box...Top Note, Beautiful Butterflies, Scallop Circle No. 2 and the Little Leaves Sizzlet. I added some of our Chunky Glitter with Multi Purposed Adhesive for pizazz! The DSP is Parisian Breeze and Bella Rose.

This last card is my actual Mother's Day Card for his year. I used out fabulous new Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die for the Big Shot. I inverted the embossed flower so that the image was depressed instead of raised and then I brayered the roses with several different colors to add depth. For you Cuttlebug fans the Textured Impressions Die is really just like a cuttebug embossing folder. I hand wrote the saying because I did not have and appropriate one in Spanish. Gotta send a note to Stampin Up to add more mother sentiments in Spanish!

May Stamp Class Projects

These are a few projects that you can make at my May Stamp Class on the 17th.

The first uses the Fifth Avenue Floral set with Heat and Stick Powder for precision glittering. The paper is my current favorite Parisian Breeze DSP. I have gone through several packs of this paper already! the ribbon is from the Valet Ribbon Originals pack.

The second uses the Forest Friends set and Walk in the Park DSP from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I used my Big Shot to make the scallop circle and then I added striped grosgrain ribbon in Baja Breeze.

The last card uses the very cute Just Buzzin By set and More Mustard DSP and little bit of glitter on the wings of the bee. I added some highlights to the flower using my white gel pen.

The last two projects you will get to see at the class. We will be making a cute Father's Day card using the Hit the Road set and a beautiful card using new Manhattan Die Flower Textured Impression embossing folder with vellum!

Spring Bird ATC

So for my first picture I am posting this ATC I created with the Friends 24-7 set. I just joined an ATC club hosted by my friend Ivett Carillo and this is my very first one. The theme for this month was Spring. I used Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, and Tangerine Tango classic inks with Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the flowers.
